Valentine's Day

Dear Families, 

This year, the students in our class wanted to try something a little different to celebrate. Instead of buying cards for classmates, they thought it would be nice to have a Valentine's Day Food Drive for AFAC (Arlington Food Assistance Center). https://afac.org/food-drive/

Foods that AFAC is especially looking for include healthy cereal, canned tomatoes, vegetables, fruit and tuna, and peanut butter. If your student would like to bring in a donation, you can send it in any time between now and Valentine's Day. We will also be making signs inviting other students to donate if they wish. 

We will still have a brief classroom celebration with a snack on Tuesday afternoon. I know some students were still interested in also making Valentines for their classmates, and of course, students are welcome to bring these as well, but please do not feel obligated to send anything in to exchange!
